A few months ago I had the chance to read a great Twitter thread by a French linguist, about the numerous uses of "cacator" in the graffiti of Pompei (or at least it was mostly focused on that). Good addition to the cacator collection!

And by the way, no joke, that thread may have played a part in my deciding to study Latin. I was fascinated with that window into ancient times, and it got me wanting to learn more about everyday people and language of ancient Rome.

It's unrelated but Secondino in Italian means a prison guard which sounds funny in this context.
