Hey everyone. I'm a high school teacher and we're completing finals. A student of mine submitted a reflection in what appears to be Latin. I teach a graphic/visual design course and know nothing about Latin or why this student submitted the assignment this way. He wrote almost one whole paragraph in English and then switches to a different language. I'm concerned about what the passage is about and would like to get it translated so I could verify. We don't teach Latin at my school; I believe he picked it up abroad, as he's a military brat. Thank you!

Here's the passage:

Hi,

It isn't really Latin; just Latin-looking gibberish.

Do you have advice on another direction I should go? I'd like to figure it out - I'm concerned as to what it says. I might have an opportunity to ask the student next week but am afraid it will be an uncomfortable situation.

Unless your student developed some kind of code that I don't see, it means nothing. Most likely it's just this sort of thing.
