Yet another question ;) Is aliquid de medio agere a phrase that we could use generally for "stop the aliquid"?

tollere de medio is not uncommon for "to do away with" or "to kill". I've never seen agere de medio before.

By "to do away with", I assume you mean the euphemism for murder?

I have seen ē mediō abiit in Terence. If we take e medio / de medio to mean, from life/the living, can we extend it generally to mean stop do you think, or is this a peculiarity of Trimalchio?
