Viderent.

Slightly puzzled upon how this conjugation has been reached. If it was present would it not be Vident?

Maybe I am just getting myself in a muddle. I have learnt the tenses in the indicative and have learnt to associate the present, Imperfect and future with the present stem (infinitive that is with the ‘re’ lopped off). ’Viderant’ doesn’t seem to conform to this; where is the ‘B’ if it was imp or future?

I have just got myself into a muddle; the ‘d’ was thrown me being that the perfect stem is irregular also with ‘d’ (Vidi), I haven't actually learnt the subjunctives. Yet.

Thanks
