I'm writing a book set in a medieval fantasy world so I figure this is the proper place to post this, please move it if I'm wrong. It's a murder mystery, and the murdered royal family member is the king's daughter. There seems to be a few different words for a princess; I've seen from some googling: princeps, principissa, regia puella, regis filia, etc. What would you guys call a princess, and what would you call the murder of a princess?

I think principissa could pass for princess; yet for princess (as queen's daughter) I would imagine regia puella

I am unaware of such noun; more likely an expression like [principissae / regiae puellae] homicidium.

I didn't figure there'd be a tidy little term for it but that's fine. I kinda like principissae homicidum so I'll likely use that. If you or anyone else has any more insights I'll of course love to hear.
