Would you be able to recommend some good English translations of De Officiis? I have two already, which are from Walter Miller (fairly literal) and George B. Gardiner (a paraphrase); but I would like another that is very literal. Perhaps the translation from Cyrus Edmonds?

I haven't used it myself, however it says here that Benjamin Newton's 2016 translation is "literal, yet elegant". Also, it contains extensive historical notes and a 15 page glossary at the end of the book.

That one looks promising, I might try it. I've got the Edmond's edition, and I would say that I like it better than the Miller (Loeb) or the Gardiner (because it's more literal).
