Not sure if this is the right thread for my question but, in DBG 1:51 we read " Eo mulieres imposuerunt quae proelium proficiscentes milites passis manibus flentes implorabant ne se in servitutem Romanis traderent." The sentence prior partially reads"... omneque aciem suam raedis et carris circumdederunt..." Now eo in the first line cited refers to mulieres and is ablative singular, but mulieres is plural. Why wouldn't the ablative plural iis be used instead?
