A discussion with friends about René Descartes and his observation "Cogito ergo sum," led to one of us turning it around to "I am, therefore I think," which led to "I believe I am, therefore I think."
From high school Latin, I translated the first to "Sum ergo cogito," and the second to "Credo sum ergo cogito."
To me, the first one looks okay, but I have a feeling the latter needs the Latin word "me" inserted,, as in "Me credo sum ergo ..."
