I find it interesting that Vergil calls this half of his work a maius opus since generally modern readers seem to prefer the first half (and the AP Latin curriculum is all excerpts from the first half).

I like book 7, but it wasn't one of my favorites. Juno's speech early-ish on is interesting because it kind of parallels her first speech in book 1, but lines 647-817 of book 7 are all a catalog of Turnus's forces which I didn't find very engaging.
