Adding smilies to the forum?

Salvēte,

While creating a new game thread, I noticed the emojis that were part of the copy-pastable results wouldn't appear in my post. It also reminded me that a similar problem occurs when we want to post our Wordle (and similar) results, which is why we have to take a screenshot instead and post it. Not a huge inconvenience but still one, and being able to use the original emojis instead would also, I assume, save a bit of server space. It seems it's possible to add new smilies to the Xenforo forum software; not sure if it would solve the issue, but maybe it's worth a try? I've created a JustPasteIt file with the smilies I think would be needed to cover our needs.

I thought these were UNICODE or something, but it seems only these 2 can be posted here of the ones you require.

Oh right I forgot some of them actually worked, but yeah, you'd think the people who made these games would have tried to stick to common characters but apparently not.

(if I understood correctly)

1) emojis cannot be copy-pasted (along with text), because the webbrowsers simply don't allow to copy paste an image along with a text (emoji = image; like a screenshot e.g.)

2) I could add emojis.

Maybe my terminology is a bit fuzzy! For instance I include things like 6️⃣ under the term "emoji", and so, to be more precise, it's possible to copy-paste emojis+text, but it seems some emojis just won't appear once we post our message, even though they appear on the message editor of the forum when we paste them. For instance, this is a screenshot of my pasted results (screenshot taken in the message editor):

1647889000383.png

but here's how it appears on the forum:

J'ai trouvé #cémantix nº19 en 132 coups !

5️⃣
1️⃣4️⃣
2️⃣5️⃣
8️⃣6️⃣
https://cemantix.herokuapp.com/

And it seems to me it may be because those emojis aren't in the forum's database or something?

It's just unorthodox to copy-paste an image along with text into the text editor. There is little I can do about that. The function "quote/reply" (either a button or by selecting the text and pushing the appearing button) can quote the forum/official emojis correctly, because there is a proper textual counterpart for every registered emoji, which is how they are stored inside the posts.
